The two-vehicle crash that happened on Wednesday night detoured the traffic in the southeast Las Vegas Valley.

The collision between a sedan and mid-sized SUV happened sometime after 7 p.m. at East Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Frank Hummel.

The drivers were transported to a hospital. The police restricted the traffic on the intersection due to debris and vehicles.

This investigation continues under investigation by the LVMPD traffic bureau, Hummel said.

Accidents happen all the time, no matter how careful of a driver you are.

All it takes is a little distraction such as phone, loud music, or even a bump on the road to cause a crash.

What is important to know is that you should always get medical help and call the police.

Besides that, you should call a car accident attorney who will help you get the claim you deserve.

It is important to have closure in cases like this; your medical expenses and lost wages might be a burden for your budget.

If you want to file a lawsuit and seek compensation claim, make sure you do that with a skilled attorney.

Your settlement depends on many factors that are unique for your case. Smaller settlements can bring you up to several thousand dollars. But, there are cases where the personal injuries are so severe that the victim might end up getting up to $75 000.

But, before you get too excited, keep in mind that the insurance company would do their best to offer a lower settlement or to deny the claim.

Many people ended up taking lower settlements just because they were not aware that they could appeal the decision.

An experienced injury attorney can help you in such situations.
