LAS VEGAS, NV – A 32-year-old man suspected of driving drunk killed a 58-year-old woman when he drove the wrong way down I-515 and crashed into her vehicle near Russell Road on Friday.
According to NBC 3 Las Vegas, the accident happened just before 2 a.m. on Friday. The suspect, Benjamin Ames, was driving a gold Hummer H2 southbound in the northbound lanes of I-515 when he crashed head-on into a Nissan Sentra.
58-year-old Susan Teves died instantly. Ames was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries and will be charged with DUI resulting in death, among a number of other charges.
Nevada Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
