MOAPA, NV – Two people are dead after a single-vehicle accident on westbound Route 168 outside the Moapa Indian Reservation on Sunday.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the 19-year-old driver of a 1995 Lexus drifted into the right shoulder before overcorrecting. The car lost control and skidded into the eastbound lanes before crashing into a ravine. Both the driver and a 29-year-old passenger died.
Officials with Nevada Highway Patrol believe driver impairment may be a factor.
