Crash Alert: Two killed in Sunday crash on Mt. Charleston

LAS VEGAS, NV – A 21-year-old and a 23-year-old died Saturday morning after their car veered off an embankment on Kyle Canyon Road around 5:40 a.m.

According to Fox 5 Vegas, 21-year-old Dorel Avila was driving the car with 23-year-old Richard Jimenez in the passenger seat when she failed to negotiate a curve on the winding road, sending the car over the side of an embankment. The car hit a tree stump and overturned, killing both occupants.

Officials do not believe impairment was a factor in this crash.
