LAS VEGAS, NV – A 16-year-old girl died Monday morning after the car she was in crashed into a wall on Sands Avenue, according to Fox 5 Vegas.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported that an unlicensed juvenile was operating the vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Corolla, at the time of the accident. The Toyota was speeding westbound on Sands Avenue at 9 a.m. Monday approaching Las Vegas Boulevard when the driver lost control and slammed into the wall.

The 16-year-old girl was in the front passenger seat and died at the scene. The driver and an adult in the backseat were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Police suspect the driver might have been intoxicated, and have issued a warrant to test their blood.
