Crash Alert: Suspected DUI driver rear-ends police car during traffic stop

LAS VEGAS, NV – A suspected drunk driver rear-ended a police officer’s vehicle while the officer was involved in a traffic stop with a third vehicle on Tropicana Ave and Decatur Blvd.

According to Fox 5 Vegas, the accident happened just before 5 a.m. on Monday morning. The driver of a white Mazda SUV rear-ended the police officer’s car, which in turn rear-ended the car of the person whom the officer had pulled over.

The police officer was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the Mazda was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
