Crash Alert: Pedestrian struck, killed by DUI driver on Maryland and Twain Ave

LAS VEGAS, NV – A woman was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver at the intersection of Maryland Parkway and Twain Avenue early Saturday morning.

Fox 5 Vegas reports that the woman, 32-year-old Sherita Capry Fowler, was crossing Maryland Pkwy at the crosswalk around 12:30 a.m. when she was struck by a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. First responders transported Fowler to Sunrise Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, 28-year-old Steffan Love, remained on the scene but failed field sobriety tests. Prosecutors will charge Love with one count of DUI resulting in death.
