LAS VEGAS, NV – A pedestrian is in serious condition after being struck by a semi truck yesterday morning in the southeast valley.
According to Fox 5 Vegas, Henderson Police and Fire Department responded to a call at Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway around 11 a.m. Thursday.
The investigation is still ongoing, but witnesses report that the pedestrian walked into Lake Mead Parkway directly into the path of the semi, which was heading eastbound.
It is not clear yet whether police will charge the driver of the semi, but officials say speed and impairment on the driver’s part are not factors.
This is a developing story and updates will be posted as they become available.
