Crash Alert: Pedestrian killed by car while collecting scrap metal from street

LAS VEGAS, NV – A 52-year-old man was hit and killed Tuesday night while he was attempting to collect scrap metal on the street near the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Judson Avenue.

News 3 Las Vegas reported that Las Vegas Metro Police arrived at the intersection to find the man dead at the scene. The driver of a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe struck the man while heading south on Nellis Blvd around 9:45 p.m.

The driver of the Hyundai stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police do not believe speed or impairment were factors in this fatal accident.
