NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV – A 42-year-old man died early Friday morning when he crashed into a light pole at an excessive rate of speed.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the man crashed his Jaguar at West Ann Road and Camino El Norte around 12:30 a.m. Friday. First responders transported him to University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The driver, whose identity will be released after next of kin is notified, was the vehicle’s only occupant. No one else was injured.
A press release from the North Las Vegas Police Department stated that they do not believe the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
