Crash Alert: Carjacking victim injured as suspect crashes his car

HENDERSON, NV – A man was injured Wednesday when an unidentified man stole his vehicle and then crashed it into a median barrier, KLAS reports.

Henderson police say the incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Green Valley Parkway, near its intersection with Sunset Road.

The suspect got into a running vehicle, forced out its driver, and then headed onto Sunset, where he collided with the median. He fled the stolen vehicle on foot, but was soon apprehended by police in a nearby business park.

The carjacking victim reported minor injuries following the incident.

It is unclear at this time whether the suspect intended to carjack the victim or to kidnap him.
