LAS VEGAS, NV – A 51-year-old Las Vegas man was hit and killed by a car while riding his bike near Losee Road and Plumeria Avenue on Monday.
Officials believe the bicyclist was heading east on Plumeria Ave onto Losee Rd when a pickup truck traveling south on Losee hit him, Fox 5 Vegas reports. The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene, and police do not believe impairment to have been a factor.
Officer Alexander Cuevas, a spokesman for North Las Vegas police, reminded cyclists to wear reflective clothing and be aware of their surroundings.
