LAS VEGAS, NV – The driver of a motorized trike was killed after being struck by a car south of Las Vegas late Wednesday night.
According to KTNV, the collision occurred in the westbound lanes of Sahara Avenue near the on-ramp to I-15 at about 10:30 p.m. Officials with the Nevada Highway Patrol determined that the adult male driver of the CanAm trike ran a red light at the intersection and was struck by a Chrysler Sedan in the process.
The trike rider was rushed to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
No charges have been filed against the driver in the Chrysler. Details regarding the identities of those involved are being withheld pending notification of the families.
