LAS VEGAS, NV – One man is dead after an early-morning crash in the southwest valley on Wednesday morning.
According to News 3 Las Vegas, the accident occurred at the intersection of Durango Drive and Patrick Lane at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department reported that the incident occurred between a 2005 Honda S2000 and 2012 Volkswagen Jetta. The two cars were traveling next to each other on Durango Drive when the Honda veered into the center lane and struck the left side of the Volkswagen.
The impact caused both cars to leave the roadway and crash into a brick wall, where the Volkswagen rolled and struck the Honda and its driver.
The driver of the Honda, a 35-year-old Las Vegas man, died at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen suffered only minor injuries and stayed at the scene to cooperate with law enforcement.
